Prophetic Ministry Insight
One of the many aspects of the ministries vision is to restore the Voice of God to the Church and teach the people how to hear His voice with Godly wisdom and discernment. In order to have an intimate relationship, you have to have two way communication. Since the beginning God never wanted our relationship with Him to be one sided. When God gave Moses the law He wanted to speak to all the people. But they did not want to hear His voice because of the hardness of their hearts. Instead they told Moses to go hear God's voice for them. In the early church God gave the five fold ministry (Pastors, Teachers, Evangelist, Apostles, and yes...the Prophet). Each Office of the Five Fold Ministry had a specific purpose and functional that keep a balance and focus within the church. Then the church decided they no longer needed the prophet. Then the voice of God was silenced and the people were left to simple follow the whims of man instead of hearing from God for themselves and they lost God's vision for their lives and His purposes.

Commentary on Prophetic Principles There are certain principles and understandings concerning prophecy that one first must come to the knowledge of. There first are many types of prophets we find in scripture. There are the prophets to the nations who speak the blessings or judgments of God to the nations and their leaders. There are the watchmen on the wall who are called to look out for the enemy and impending approach upon the church. Then there is the priestly prophet given to the church for the edification, exhortation, and comfort of the church and the perfecting of the saints. The prophets of the Old Testament were to speak the judgments of God upon the people. New Testament prophets and apostles established doctrine. Both in all and any cases had the overall intent and purpose to draw God's people closer unto Himself. They were to speak the heart, opinions, and purposes of God, not their own. Again in all instances the heart of God, even in judgment, is the love of His people, His Church, His Kingdom. The same is for today. Another principle we must keep in mind is that scripture warns of us false prophets to come. At the same time he warns us to be careful of quickly judging one as a false prophet least we judge wrong and be judged ourselves. Therefore, prophets judge prophets. We however, are responsible for judging prophecy discerning the Voice of the Shepherd. There are many who will prophesy touchy feely God is too kind prophesies and others who will prophesy doom and gloom hell in a hand basket prophesies. In each is an ounce or more of truth. What we as God's people have to do is discern what the real truth, heart, and intents of God really are in the midst of it all. God first and foremost will never contradict Himself. Take every prophecy and compare it with scripture. Seek the voice of God for yourself concerning the validity of a prophetic word. Then, at last, add the common sense factor to the understanding equation. We know that God knows the beginning from the end. We know He finishes what He starts. We know that He does not create then decide, "Oh well, I screwed up there." We know that from the beginning to the end His intent is to have an intimate relationship with His creation and the establishment of His Kingdom. "For the earth is the Lord's and the fullness there of. And every living thing in the earth belongs to the Lord and He loves His creation." "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, On earth as it is in Heaven." You have to ask yourself a few questions. Why would God create all only to destroy it in the end. Why would He go through so much trouble to create man in His image, give him power and dominion over all the earth, send His son to redeem man, to just destroy all in the end. Why would He tell us to take dominion over all the earth, to occupy till He comes, that we shall rule and reign the nations with Christ then turn around and give all the power to the devil, turn the whole earth over to the wicked, rip us out and zap the earth and destroy it all and admit through these actions that He screwed up or the devil screwed up His whole plan. I believe He is a bit more sovereign. For starters read Matthew chapter 13 very closely. The scripture tells us that God exalts and God puts down nations. God alone judges the nations. God created this nation and there is still a remnant of His people here. We are the only nation on the face of the earth that defends Israel. We are the only so called, "Christian" nation on the face of the earth. I do believe God is judging all the nations right now. I do believe that we as Americans and as the church have assumed the favor of God and He has removed His hand from us. I do believe that as a people (both the church and as a nation) have come so far from true Biblical Christianity that we are lost. I do believe that as a nation we are full of idols and false gods, even in the church. I do believe that we have yet to truly repent and destroy the idols and turn our hearts back to God. Even in this time of increase open religiosity it is just that, religiosity not repentance. We pray "God Bless America" but still pray such to whatever god man so chooses nor have we laid down our idols of materialism, entertainment, arrogance, pride, perversion, murder, sports, selfishness, humanism, and the list goes on. We still cling to our self-serving, self-resolve, self-preserving power. We still cling to our political correctness and multiculturalism. Yes, we have come far from God. Yes, He is not smiling favorably on us. There is no guarantee that there will always be the great United States of America. The great America Pride and Resolve is not greater than God Himself. Even with the greatest technology and weaponry we cannot remain if God so chooses. Are we the nation spoken of in the "End Time Prophecies" ? Is God on our side? As the angel told Joshua, "That is not the question." Nations have come and gone and so it will continue. Our God is in absolute control of every war, every nation, every government, every leader, etc. The question is where is His church? Where are His people? Are we on His side? Are we a nation of people governed by His principles of His Kingdom or are we worshipping the idols, are we assuming His favor, are we following false doctrines, are we the bride spotless and without blemish, are we clearly the wheat or the tare, are we sheep or goats, are we doing what He told us to do such as disciple the nations, save the lost, feed the sheep, occupy and define our culture, speak truth to all mankind, be the salt and light and the city on the hill? I THINK NOT! My concern is not with the wars and rumors of war. My concern is - not knowing when the great rapture is or is not. My fear is not when, where, or who is giving or getting a number on their head or hand. My fear is not who is persecuting who. My concern is the His Church and am I doing my part. My life is not my concern but my obedience is. My focus is not my place in heaven but my responsibility in the building of His Kingdom NOW! Everything else is simply a distracter. The church has been side tracked. She does not even look like the New Testament church much less the spotless bride. She is concerning with passing her legislation and not offending the false gods and those who oppose absolute truth and righteousness. We do not need anymore legislation in a government system that has thrown God and His principles of righteousness out the window. We do not need to be silent and accept relative religious ideologies in our culture and fear of offense. Silence is acceptance. Truth is offense. The Gospel is a Government. Kingdom rules rule Kingdom people. We are His people. Let's act like it. This was our nation but we are now a nation of people within it because it no longer resembles a nation governed by Kingdom principles and Righteous precepts. Come out and be separated. Be the Church. Be God's people. Be the Bride of Christ. While others are concerned with being Americans we should be more concerned with being Christians. While others fear for their lives we should fear God. While others are concerned with the future of the United States we should be more concerned with the current condition and future of the Church. The end time prophecy of scripture will come to past if God so chooses. The doom and death is for the wicked and those who lose favor in the eyes of God. But dominion and victory are for the Sons of God. What is there to fear but God. What is there to be concerned with except obedience.

SOME REASONS WHY PROPHECIES DO NOT COME TO PASS: |
|
1. Prophecies assume that you will continue to live as you are living now. If you change for better or for worse, God’s direction will also change. (Jer. 18:6-9; Eze. 33:11-16)
Examples: Hezekiah-II Chron. 32:24-30; Saul-I Sam. 13:13-14; Mosses & Aaron-Num. 20:12.
2. Contrary to popular belief, God’s will does not always come to pass. God is not willing that any should perish (II Peter 3:9), yet some people still go to hell. Therefore, there are times when a prophecy will not come to pass because someone else involved in its fulfillment has exercised their free will against it.
Examples: This is especially true in the area of relationships or where God has told someone to bless you with something. If you keep a right attitude when this happens, God will still be able to bring His plan for your life to pass, but He will have to do it in another way and possibly at another time.
3. Times are very difficult to see in the spirit. “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day (II Peter 3:8).” It is very difficult for a prophet who sees a “3” to distinguish between three days, three weeks, three months or three years. Also, a prophet may prophesy something is going to come to pass when it has already happened, and vice versa.
4. Lack of obedience/lack of faith/lack of diligence can keep God’s prophetic word from coming to pass or from coming to pass completely.
Examples: “And he said, ‘Take the arrows. ‘ And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, ‘smite upon the ground.’ And he smote thrice, and stayed. And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, ‘thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it; whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.’
(II Kings 13:18-19)” The blessing the widow received in II Kings 4:1-7 depended on how many vessels she borrowed. |

COMMON QUESTIONS: |
| Q: Why will a prophet sometimes mention something that is already “under the Blood” ?
A: A prophet will sometimes mention something personal from your past that has already been forgiven by God. However, he will only do this if he sees that you still have a need for healing in this area.
Example: If God has forgiven you for committing a sin but you have not forgiven yourself, a prophet may mention the sin, but only in order to bring you to a place where you can deal with the memory. “What God reveals, He heals.”
Q: Can a prophet prophesy at anytime?
A: They were all called in Ephesians 4:11 to minister to the body of Christ. So, if a pastor can be a pastor to anyone at anytime; a teacher can teach anytime; or an evangelist can evangelize at anytime, why shouldn’t a prophet be able to prophesy at anytime? He can.
Example: Elisha did in II Kings 3:11-19 and Daniel did many times. |
